About BOTANIKA
BOTANIKA is a new generation of artisanal beverage brands - rooted in Indonesia, inspired by global taste.
We craft premium syrups, concentrates, and ready-to-drink infusions that celebrate tropical botanicals like kalamansi, tamarind, and pandan through modern craftsmanship and flavor science.
Our mission: to bridge heritage ingredients and modern beverage culture, creating products that are natural, bold, and sustainable.
We are building a flavor-driven company where creativity meets technical precision - combining culinary artistry with food science to redefine tropical beverages.
Role Overview
As a Food Technologist / Beverage Developer, you will transform creative flavor ideas into scalable, compliant, and commercially successful products.
You will own the entire formulation process - from flavor design and recipe development to concentrate creation, shelf-life testing, and innovation in functional or sugar-free concepts.
This role blends hands-on experimentation, analytical testing, and strategic R&D leadership - ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and science.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Formulation & Flavor Creation
- Develop, refine, and recreate beverage recipes for syrups, concentrates, and RTDs.
- Work with natural extracts, concentrates, and botanicals to achieve consistent, high-quality flavor profiles.
- Balance sweetness, acidity, aroma, and texture to meet sensory and brand standards.
- Create and maintain precise master formulas ready for scale-up.
2. Concentrate & Ingredient Development
- Design and optimize concentrates for both syrup and RTD production.
- Conduct small-scale trials and translate results into industrial processes.
- Lead shelf-life and stability testing to ensure product safety and consistency.
- Approve and evaluate raw materials - including fruits, botanicals, sweeteners, and stabilizers.
3. Innovation & Trend Development
- Explore new beverage directions such as sugar-free, low-calorie, functional, or protein-enriched products.
- Identify and translate consumer trends into concrete R&D concepts.
- Develop new methods of flavor extraction, infusion, and preservation that enhance product authenticity.
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all formulations comply with BPOM and international food safety regulations.
- Manage product documentation: ingredient specifications, data sheets, HACCP, and nutritional details.
- Supervise external lab analyses for microbiological and chemical validation.
- Support pilot runs and scale-up with OEM and production partners.
5. Application & Brand Support
- Translate technical recipes into mixology applications - mocktails, cocktails, sodas, and teas.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams on visual and sensory storytelling.
- Conduct tastings, workshops, and training sessions for internal and external partners.
You have:
1. Profile & Skills
- Education & Background
